The Mauritius Sugar Syndicate (MSS) was honoured to take part in this year’s edition through the participation of its CEO, Mr Devesh Dukhira, who was invited to chair the conference on its opening day. His leadership helped set the tone for a dynamic and forward-looking programme, fostering meaningful exchanges among participants. The second day was complemented by Mr Jose Orive, Executive Director of the International Sugar Organization (ISO), bringing an added global dimension to the exchanges.
A strong focus was placed on diversification and value creation, particularly through circular economy models, as essential pathways toward a more resilient and sustainable sugar industry in Africa.
